About Me
Margarita Papadimitriou is a versatile musician & singer, specializing in backing vocals and vocal arrangement.
Born in Athens, Greece, she studied Piano, Advanced Music Theory and Classical Singing. She has degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue, as well as a Vocal Performance Diploma with distinction and first prize award from “Kentriko” Conservatory and “Nikolaos Mantzaros” Conservatory, respectively, in Athens. She was also awarded a distinction from RSL London passing the level 3 Certification in Music Performance (Final Grade on Vocals). Setting her sights on further enrichment of her musical skills, she was admitted in Ionian University of Greece (Department of Music Studies), aiming for a Masters degree in Choir Conducting.
She is a member of the City of Athens Professional Choir, the Equábili Vocal Ensemble, she is also a member of the jazz-swing band SOULSTICE and the vocal trio MIA.
In 2012 founded the distinguished vocal ensemble “Voice Box”, which she manages and conducts up to this day.
Her voice, as a Voice Over Artist, can be heard in numerous Greek TV and radio spots, in various dubbed animated films, as well as in broadly known kids’ toys.
Margarita has been a vocal coach at the “Lab Music Education” Conservatory (Athens & Kallithea branches) and she’s also holding the position of the artistic director at the “Lab Music Education” Conservatory branches of Nea Smyrni and Zografou, Athens. Furthermore, she is considered to be a skillful Seminar Instructor in the fields of Backing Vocals, Acapella Arrangement and Vocal Improvisation.
Adding to the many valuable collaborations with jazz, pop, rock – metal & musical artists, Margarita has participated in over 200 albums of Greek Discography as a Solo / Backing Vocalist and Pianist.
She has performed in over 1500 live shows and concerts in most theaters and live stages in Greece and abroad.

H Μαργαρίτα Παπαδημητρίου είναι μουσικός – τραγουδίστρια, με ευελιξία και πολυσχιδή δραστηριότητα σε ετερόκλητα είδη μουσικής, αλλά με ειδίκευση κυρίως στα backing vocals και το vocal arrangement.
Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε πιάνο, ανώτερα θεωρητικά και κλασσικό τραγούδι. Διαθέτει Πτυχία Αρμονίας, Αντίστιξης και Φούγκας (Κεντρικό Ωδείο) και Δίπλωμα Μονωδίας με Άριστα και Α’ Βραβείο (Ωδείο Νικόλαος Μάντζαρος). Το 2019 εισήχθη στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου, όπου και συνεχίζει τις σπουδές της στη Διεύθυνση Χορωδίας. To 2021 κατέκτησε το Level 3 Certification in Music Performance – Final Grade on Vocals με διάκριση από τα RSL Awards London.
Είναι μέλος της επαγγελματικής Χορωδίας των Μουσικών Συνόλων του Δ. Αθηναίων, του Equábili Vocal Ensemble, της Jazz-Swing μπάντας SOULSTICE και των ΜΙΑ (Vocal Trio).
Το 2012 ίδρυσε το βραβευμένο Φωνητικό Σύνολο “Voice Box”, το οποίο και διευθύνει μέχρι σήμερα.
Η φωνή της, ως Voice Over Artist, ακούγεται σε πληθώρα διαφημιστικών σποτ, σε μεταγλωττίσεις ταινιών κινουμένων σχεδίων, καθώς και σε πολύ γνωστά παιδικά παιχνίδια.
Διδάσκει σύγχρονο τραγούδι στο Ωδείο Lab Music Education (Αθήνα και Καλλιθέα) και είναι καλλιτεχνική διευθύντρια στα Ωδεία Lab Music Education (Νέα Σμύρνη και Ζωγράφου). Επίσης, τις γνώσεις και την εμπειρία της σε backing vocals, acapella arrangement και φωνητικό αυτοσχεδιασμό μοιράζεται σε επιτυχημένα σεμινάρια, ως εισηγήτρια.
Στην ελληνική δισκογραφία έχει συμμετάσχει σε πάνω από 200 άλμπουμ, είτε ως vocalist (Solo ή/και Backing) ή ως πιανίστα, συνεργαζόμενη με πολύ σημαντικούς καλλιτέχνες της έντεχνης, jazz, pop, rock–metal και musical σκηνής.
Τέλος, έχει πραγματοποιήσει περισσότερες από 1.500 ζωντανές εμφανίσεις (συναυλίες, μουσικό θέατρο κλπ.), στις περισσότερες μουσικές και θεατρικές σκηνές της Ελλάδας, καθώς και στο εξωτερικό.
