The Estlin Project is an attempt to set poems by E.E. Cummings to music. The project\u2019s first record, titled in the last light<\/em>, comprises 14 settings of poems out of E.E. Cummings\u2019 first collection, Tulips and Chimneys<\/em>. Each setting has a different character (despite sharing a common contrapuntal technique) and incorporates influences by contemporary classical music, old jazz, medieval and renaissance music, blues, progressive rock, romanticism and minimalism. All songs were composed by Giorgos Kyriazis, except \u201cThe hours rise up putting off stars\u201d which was co-written by Thanos Margetis.<\/span><\/p>\n
